T20 - Unprofessional England Smashed By Resurgent Pakistan.

In the final encounter between these two sides in 2016, in the single T20 match on the calendar, the England team was both incompetent and unprofessional.

Having won the toss, England elected to bat first on a typical Old Trafford pitch. It was flat, a little slow and gave aid to the spinners. The seamers were able to find some bounce if they bent their backs but little lateral movement with the white ball.

England's batting began well enough before sinking into very poor decision-making. When a modest cricketer like me could see that success would come from hitting the ball straight, a succession of overpaid muppets opted to crossbat the bowling instead.

Consequently, England reached a derisory total in their twenty overs and could easily have been bowled out.

Pakistan licked their lips and made the total with an unbelievable 5.1 overs to spare and won at a cruise by nine wickets.

Shameful!
