Even though I am no great fan of organised game shooting, I would struggle to
justify banning the practice. I would, however, make two provisos:
1) Nobody should be allowed to wade into wildlife with a shotgun
without first having passed a clay pigeon shooting course with a 90+% success
rate and
2) The shooting of snipe and woodcock should be banned.
Hare
shooting should also be banned except where a farmer's crops are being put at grave
risk whereupon a limited licence could be granted.
