What an economic mess. Even someone from the Beeb has had to declare that Castro's communism had FAILED. (AS IT ALWAYS AND INEVITABLY DOES!)
Cuba is now turning to capitalism to bail itself out - like the USSR and China before.
NO system which deifies Man can ever bring peace and prosperity.
Capitalism does NOT equate to greed - it is just the only working economic model ever devised. Okay - it can be used and manipulated by greedy people (what economic system would not?) BUT you cannot throw out the baby with the bathwater!
