I Do Agree But ...

One of our problems in the UK is that desperately-needed root and branch reform of the ever-weakening NHS has been made impossible by the left. They always wildly claim that any reform is just 'a step towards privatisation'. They simply clamour for 'more public money' irrespective of how well it will be spent. This is simple insanity. Top funding encourages bureaucracy and inefficiency.
Our system plods on, eating money and being generally inefficient.
My friend, Brian, has been waiting for a vital operation for a good six months. Nothing is happening at all!
That just could not happen under the French, bottom-funding system.
Why are we not allowed to seek efficiency?
