The sitting MP is the former Labour man who has both supported Brexit being implemented, at the same time as quitting that party because he was one of today's extremely rare beasts - a Labour MP of great honesty and integrity.
Standing for his own Social Justice Party, Frank stood a real chance of taking the seat away from Labour. This is a man who reminds us of those distant days when the Labour Party had scores of similar politicians in their ranks.
It is now a huge probability that he will lose a seat the BP could not possibly win.
