Plimer has written an article criticising “ignorant activists, populist scaremongering, vote-chasing politicians and rent seekers” for using terms such as “climate emergency”, “unprecedented”, “carbon footprint” and “pollution”. Plimer’s language may be as inflammatory as the activists he is criticising, and he is a well-known atheist who has been even more scathing about creationists, so why are we quoting him in our newsletter?
