PIERS MORGAN hit out at Nicola Sturgeon on Good Morning Britain as he demanded she explain why she wanted to leave the United Kingdom but remain a member of the European Union.
Blogger: one might like to ask how the Scots would afford free university and care home places along with all of the other benefits they take from the Barnett Formula - which we cannot afford to fund for ourselves! Leaving is a potential economic disaster for them.
As I've oft times pointed out before - Catalonia could survive without Spain but Spain would take a giant hit.
If Scotland were to quit the UK - they would be the ones taking the hit - not England, Wales and N. Ireland.
One could also add that a Scotland with an over-represented voice in the UK (the West Lothian Question) would turn into a nation with no leverage whatsoever in the shurrup-and-do-what-you're-told European Union.
