Week of Prayer For China.

‘I hope that I can make a little breakthrough. Too many people are unwilling to speak and stand up for justice because of fear’ – Zhang Zhan, the ‘Wuhan Whistleblower’

Hi.

Join us from Sunday 23 – Sunday 30 May for a week of praying for faith communities in China.

Last May, Chinese police raided Zhang Zhan’s hotel room in Wuhan and arrested her. The Christian citizen journalist had travelled to the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak with one aim: to expose the truth of the Chinese government’s handling of the pandemic.

In December she was sentenced to four years in prison on the charge of ‘picking quarrels and provoking trouble’.

Zhan had been determined to expose the truth, even though she was fully aware of the danger she was putting herself in.

Join us to pray for Zhan and countless others in China whose faith puts them at risk.

From 23-30 May, join us in praying protection over churches in China and freedom of religion or belief for every citizen. We’ve created lots of resources with prayer points to get you started, which you can download for free.

We believe in a God of mercy and miracles, who loves to answer our prayers – so we’re trusting that big things will happen when we join together for a week of prayer over the nation of China!

P.S. ‘And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. And you are helping us by praying for us.’ (2 Corinthians 1:10-11a NLT) Paul’s words to the church in Corinth remind us that our prayers for those who are facing injustice for their faith are so valuable.

Find out how you can join us to pray over faith communities at risk in China.

Thank you!
