What a joy when God answers specific prayer so clearly. A group of us had been praying for all the building permits we needed to erect the next fossil protection sheds at Jurassic Ark. Last Thursday we had just finished praying when word got to us that everything we had asked for had been approved - and at a much lower price than originally quoted.
Done to death are the accusations that Christianity is pie in the sky when you die, or bigoted blind faith. We agree with King David’s thoughts from some 3,000 years ago that he would have lost heart - given up - except for one fact! He actually saw the hand of the Lord at work in a very practical, visible and undeniable way while he was still in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). Christianity is a fact based faith in the Creator, King and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life and who is greater than all our problems and who alone and is real joy.
