Hi Friends, ‘I greet you in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. A few weeks ago Pastor Lorenzo wrote a letter to CSW staff and supporters, thanking them for their support. ‘I want to thank you, through this letter, for your support and Christian love, especially my brothers and sisters who encourage me with their letters. ‘They (the guards) only gave me eight, but they were very encouraging. My wife has also received letters.’ Pastor Lorenzo has been in prison in Cuba since July 2021, after he was arrested for taking part in peaceful protests. His words remind us that when you send a letter to someone facing injustice for their beliefs, you’re sending a ray of light into the darkest situations. Download your free Connect & Encourage so you can reply to Pastor Lorenzo The pastor went on to say, ‘I am very grateful for your lives; you are all in my prayers.’ Thank you so much for your letters to him – you are the living embodiment of Hebrews 13:3a: ‘Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison…’ Our free resource Connect & Encourage gives you the names and addresses of people all around the world who are facing injustice because of their beliefs, to whom you can send cards and letters. Write to Pastor Lorenzo – and many others who need encouragement On behalf of all the people listed in Connect & Encourage – thank you for sending them a word of support and hope, while we wait for God’s justice to prevail! Blessings Emma Howlett P.S. The last posting date for Christmas is Wednesday 7 December for most destinations. Find this and more info – including FAQs and template letters – on our website. CSW. |
