CSW.

 Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you about 25-year-old Deborah Emmanuel in Nigeria, and today I want to tell you about another young woman who was brutally murdered following a false accusation of blasphemy.
Neither of these women deserved to die. There must be justice for all who have been falsely accused of blasphemy.
Safoora Bibi was a 21-year-old schoolteacher in Pakistan.
Earlier this year, Safoora was killed by three women whose relative (believed to be a 13-year-old girl) had had a dream that Safoora had committed blasphemy.
Who would have imagined that a young girl’s dream could hold such deadly power? But the spark of a single accusation was fanned into flame by the surrounding culture, in which blasphemy is regularly used as a weapon, aimed disproportionately at the minority.
For over 15 years, we have been working with human rights activists and local partners in Pakistan to build international pressure for change. With your help, we can continue advocating for the reform and, ultimately, the repeal of Pakistan’s notorious blasphemy laws.
Your gift will also help tackle other injustices people are experiencing due to their religion or belief.
The targeting of vulnerable religious communities must stop.
With your help, justice is possible.
Grace and peace,
Scot Bower
CEO
P.S. I know the financial circumstances of many households have changed this year, so I want to assure you that a gift of any size will make a difference. We are so grateful for all your gifts and prayers!
