Phew.

MONSTER BLESSINGS at our Aussie Open day Sept 24 and we installed Goannas as big as they used to be. The Aussie word goanna comes from English sailors pronouncing the word Iguana as gu-ana in the 1800's and yes they are rellies of the Komodo Dragon. The fossil this is based on was found on the Darling Downs around 200 kms from our HQ. The very life - like monster is highlighted by John Mackay and Craig Hawkins with a big thankyou to our Artist Steve Cardno for his great job in getting this life like repro ready for the day. It's now on permanent display at Jurassic Ark so contact curator Daryl to book a visit on 0418 474 792.
