Hi.'The fact that we are Christians put my life and the life of my family in serious danger, as the Taliban do not accept any religion other than Islam.’
Ali Zafar is a refugee from Afghanistan. He’s just one of the millions of people whose lives were put at risk when the Taliban took over in August 2021. He told us:
We had to leave behind our lives and all our belongings and escape to Pakistan. Unfortunately, life in Pakistan has been difficult; the radicalisation level in Pakistan society makes survival extremely precarious.
Can you give £4 today to help raise the plight of Afghan refugees and others being targeted for their beliefs with those in power?
CSW’s specialist knowledge and expertise plays a crucial role in helping policy-makers to understand the desperate situation that many Afghans are in – and how they can help.
My colleagues and I have published an in-depth report documenting the plight of religious minorities who have fled Afghanistan in fear of their lives. We ‘ve given it to MPs and MEPs, and we provide concrete recommendations for the politicians and decision-makers who read it, so they’ll know exactly what they need to do.
We know that this approach works. Earlier this year we heard the wonderful news that Pastor Nadarkhani had been released from prison in Iran, after more than a decade of harassment and repeated unjust imprisonments by the authorities.
During that entire time, we were advocating for him with authorities and decision-makers around the world, regularly raising his case with experts at the United Nations and other significant international bodies.
At the same time, thousands of supporters like you were giving to support our advocacy, campaigning on his case, and of course praying fervently.
Your gift of £4 will help us to continue raising cases like Ali’s at places such as the UN and the UK parliament, urging decision-makers to take urgent action.
Thank you so much for everything you do.
Cecil

P.S. Your support combined with our advocacy makes a real, life-changing difference to people around the world who are facing injustice because of their beliefs.
