The leader of the Foodbank in which Mrs Blogger and I have served for the last couple of years has decided that it should close down as it is clearly being abused by a nexus of local people.
Not only do some turn up every week with a referral in hand but there has been an incredible change in the system allowing self-referrals!
I am delighted that my own Church has decided to move forward and change into a Food Hub which will serve the whole community.
(Our sister Church is already running an exceptional Food Hub.)

We must also welcome the fact that a huge layer of bureaucracy has now been excised from the works that the Church is attempting.
