At the end, I spotted that one lady was looking distressed. Amongst all of the smartly dressed attendees - she was unkempt and had the look of a ragdoll. (I do hope that does not sound unkind.) She was well into her nineties.
I stopped to chat and discovered that she was called Jean. She was in tears and so I paused to chat. She revealed that doctors have just told her that she is going to lose her sight.
I could have wept. My wife and I asked to pray with her. Through her tears, this once brilliant, highly-educated lady said, "I've asked and nothing happened."
We prayed for her and she cheered up immensely.
I beg you. With all the fervour and dedication you can muster, please pray that the rapid deterioration will end TODAY!
