Starting to get ever more like Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Do the positives really outweigh the negatives? If I am ever prescribed these, I shall need a great deal of persuading.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!

Apologies For Any Problems This Week.
It is possible that I may have a few problems with postings in the middle of this next week. Please bear with me.
A blessing to all regular readers.

'Student' Abuse Of Immigration Laws.
'Up to 50,000 people may have entered Britain to work rather than study in the first year of the government's student migration controls, a highly critical report by the National Audit Office (NAO) claims. MPs called for the troubled UK Border Agency to "get a grip and fix the way it deals with student visas" after saying the report exposed one of the most shocking examples of poor management leading to abuse.' (The Guardian - AMAZINGLY!)
Lynn Margulis.
From the late evolutionist biology professor Lynn Margulis (1938-2011): “Never, however, did that one mutation make a wing, a fruit, a woody stem, or a claw appear. .....No evidence in the vast literature of heredity changes shows unambiguous evidence that random mutation itself, even with geographical isolation of populations, leads to speciation”. Lynn Margulis and Dorion Sagan, Acquiring Genomes: A Theory of the Origins of the Species, pg. 29 (Basic Books, 2003). (Creation Research.)
True. Guess which group in society is profoundly embarrassed by this?

Aggressive Atheism.
Four Christian MPs have written to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) in an attempt to overturn its ban on claiming that ‘God can heal’. Last month the ASA told a group of Christians in Bath that they could not continue to make any claims in their advertising which state or imply that, by receiving their prayer, people could be healed. David T C Davies (Con) has written a letter challenging the ASA's decision, and Christian MPs Gary Streeter (Con), Gavin Shuker (Lab) and Tim Farron (Lib Dem) have written to the ASA asking them to produce "indisputable scientific evidence" that prayer does not work, otherwise they will raise the issue in Parliament.
(And STILL the secularist left insist that Christians are wrong to bring up the issue of 'aggressive atheism'.)
'Tax Cuts For The Wealthy To Be Deplored.'
It is all in the presentation, isn't it? - Are you happy to see people who are already rich paying less in taxation?
Who in their right mind can answer 'yes'?
That of course, is NOT the issue! The correct question would be:
'Are you happy to see vast amounts of jobs and revenue leave these shores because of ridiculously high taxation levels for some members of society?'
Fancy answering that question with a 'yes'?

EU Entirely To Blame For Massive Postage Rises.
'Those who may be angry about the massive rise in the cost of stamps need (as usual) not look any further than the European Union which forced Royal Mail to be part of a privatised EU “market in postal services”.
The effect of this was to allow foreign post offices like Deutsche Post to cherry pick profitable services like business mail, leaving the Royal Mail with the unprofitable services. This was supplemented by a second Directive in 2002.'

India Does Not Want Our Aid So ...
From: Nick Martinek, Briarlyn Road, Huddersfield.
Just one example: Mr Cameron has increased the UK government’s spend on foreign aid when evidence shows it is counter-productive for the recipient nation, fostering corruption; and when India, for one, was telling him that they did not want the £280m a year we have been giving them.
At the same time, he sold our defence Harrier fighter planes to the USA’s Marine Corps (USMC) for a paltry £112m.
If we had cut the aid to India when they asked us to do so, the money saved would have been sufficient to retain the two existing aircraft carriers and their complement of Harriers. The consequence of Mr Cameron’s cupidity is that he has catastrophically reduced our defence capability to please a few middle class Labour voters and aid-junkies, who would never vote for him anyway. (Yorks Post)
DAVID Cameron’s approach as Prime Minister seems very reminiscent of the 1970s Tory europhile PM, Sir Edward Heath, yet he lacks Sir Edward’s intellect. So for a long time I have considered David Cameron to be ‘Heath-without-brains’. Nothing Mr Cameron has done in the last two years makes me change my mind.

Wind Turbines: More From The Yorks Post Debate.
From: David F Chambers, Sladeburn Drive, Northallerton.
I REFER to the article by Ben Stafford (Yorkshire Post, March 17) headlined: “It’s time we generated some light in the great turbine debate.”
Unfortunately, it adds little to the argument, accepting as it does the basic assumption of global catastrophe due to a man-made rise in C02 levels.
His next assumption is that wind turbines can contribute in any way to combating that situation.
Respected studies, deprived of publicity these days, indicate that, historically and prehistorically, periods of high CO2 levels do not cause rises in global temperature, they follow them after an interval of about 800 years.
Periods of global warming are not apparently brought about by the production of greenhouse gases by man (or his cattle) but by far more fundamental phenomena about which neither HM Government or Opposition can do anything.
Naturally, from the political point of view, this philosophy is utterly unacceptable. Hence the size of our fuel bills.
I hope perhaps this does in fact generate a little light on the debate?

Hellfire Preaching.
I have seldom been more depressed than I have been with the trio of programmes called Reverse Missionaries. Preachers from Malawi, India & Jamaica have gone respectively to Glasgow, Belfast and rural Gloucestershire where they have discovered mega amounts of spiritual apathy.
Let us get down to basics. All these people who are 'half christians', atheists, deists, theists and agnostics et al are ALL going to hell. THAT is what the Scriptures tell us.
People who do not know this cannot understand why they have any need for salvation or for The Saviour!
Perhaps the time is right to return to some old fashioned, 'hellfire preachers' taking to the streets.
At the present rates, 90+% of our population is not going anywhere near heaven when they die.
We are trying passive, almost apologetic methods as if we are embarrassed by 'our product'. Ask a salesman how much these techniques would work in their fields!
If people have no concept whatsoever of how desperate their situation truly is - why should they try to resolve something they do not even recognise as a problem.

The Assault On Christianity Is Relentless!
'The 1989 production Visions of Ecstasy was considered so shocking that the Government even fought a successful battle at the European Court of Human Rights to uphold the ban.
But the film is now to be released in its original, uncut form after the British Board of Film Classification [SHAME ON THEM!] overturned its original decision. DVDs of the film will go on sale tomorrow, at the start of Holy Week.' Telegraph.

Let Joy Be Unconfined! Pass Around The Bacon Butties!
‘Pork has a bad reputation, mainly because it’s associated with cheap processed sausages, whose contents are largely unknown, or fatty bits of bacon and flavourings. But that reputation should not apply to products from outdoor-reared, well-nourished animals,’ says Kumud Gandhi, a food scientist and founder of The Cooking Academy. La Santa Muerte.
Eight people have been arrested in northern Mexico have over the killing of two 10-year-old boys and a woman in what appears to be ritual sacrifices.
Prosecutors in Sonora, in the north-west of the country have accused the suspects of belonging to the La Santa Muerte (Holy Death) cult.
The victims' blood has been poured round an altar to the idol, which is portrayed as a skeleton holding a scythe and clothed in flowing robes.
The cult, which celebrates death, has been growing rapidly in Mexico in the last 20 years, and now has up to two million followers.
Jose Larrinaga, spokesman for Sonora state prosecutors, said the most recent killing was earlier this month, while the other two were committed in 2009 and 2010.
Their bodies were found at the altar site in the small mining community of Nacozari, 70 miles south of Douglas, Arizona.
