For The Fallen.

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.

Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,

Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill;

Death august and royal,

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,

'Slippery' Clegg.

Nick Clegg was secretly plotting to ditch his pledge to axe tuition fees two months before the election, it was revealed last night.
In a grave embarrassment for the Deputy Prime Minister, secret papers have revealed that the Liberal Democrats drew up plans to abandon the pledge even as they were publicly promising university students they would oppose fees.

Of course this would be a promise kept by a UKIP administration - they would have dozens of billions of pounds extra to play with and would reduce the burden at the same time by axing many Mickey Mouse courses.
A sensible higher education policy instead of shovelling those into university who are not geared to such a process would end!
Grants would return for the deserving!

The evil that is Britain in 2010.

I have tried for many years to distinguish between sin - which we all commit - and evil.

By looking at the passage where Jesus outlines the only 'unpardonable sin' in Mark's Gospel, we are given clues.

Dr Sheila Matthews, as a victim, illustrates the point. As a Christian and a part of the Council's adoption panel in Leicester she has been forced into resignation because of her biblically-based attitudes to homosexuals in the adoption process.

Let us leave aside the fact that it is only Christians who are ever persecuted in these matters and see how what is being done to her is actually 'evil'.

Goodness has been reversed. 'Bad is now good' and 'good is now bad'.

Doing wrong is one thing - but then to claim that this is indeed 'right and proper' is where the line has been crossed. The Scriptures are our benchmark.

The persecution of Dr Matthews is intrinsically evil.

One piece of advice I have for the good doctor, is for her to skip taking this matter to the European Courts as the outcome there is inevitable and a long term waste of her time.

Peter is perhaps a tad over-rated here.

Debts paid?

If there is one phrase that really gets my goat it is when somebody is released from prison and some will insist, "He has paid his debt to society."
How can this possibly be the case when some people who have perhaps killed another human being, have served a disproportionate sentence in a comfortable gaol and have then been released after sometimes as little as four years?
How can the ruination of a life by torture or rape or mutilation ever be expiated at this level?
On the spiritual level - definitely. On the social level - impossible.

It is not a question of revenge nor of forgiveness but of distinguishing between Godly attitudes on the societal and individual levels.

Tragedy in every way.

The Armistice of 1918 was signed at 5 am with the agreement to cease fire coming into force at 11 am.

So how many died on the 11th November. Six? Eight maybe?

The answer is 863!

'Labour MPs shamelessly encouraged students rioting over tuition fees to ‘get stuck in’ via Twitter at the very moment they started smashing up Tory headquarters, it emerged last night.
Backbencher John McDonnell used the social networking site to tweet ‘just shows what can be done when people get angry. We must build on this’ as missiles were hurled at police.
Then as protesters started destroying the entrance to the Westminster building, MP Alex Cunningham tweeted: ‘Well done our students – thousands outside the office getting stuck into the LibDem / Tory government.’

For such verminous behaviour they should lose their seats as 'not fit to govern'.

What is a 'do-gooder'?

The 'do-gooder' is most emphatically NOT somebody who 'does good' but is one who facilitates crime and anti-social behaviour. This comes from either stupidity, political bias or tragically, in some cases, misplaced niceness.

Mankind has freewill.

A criminal is somebody who believes that they have an inalienable right to mess with or even ruin your life and may use the addictions you have not given them as an excuse.
They are not: merely products of a bad upbringing, victims of abuse, misunderstood, simple, basically good at heart et al ad nauseam.
Some of these to some degree - perhaps! But we live in a society wherein nobody needs to steal bread to live.
Every criminal bar none has freewill. Every criminal has made a conscious choice to interfere with somebody else's comfort zone. Virtually every criminal acts from the basest of motives and ultimately, every one personifies selfishness.
Some 'grow out of crime' as they age - many have made a conscious lifestyle choice.
Consider burglary. The crime is mean and utterly contemptible - yet it attracts token sentences in court.
Rehabilitation? - Yes, of course, please, but punishment appropriate to the crime first is a must.

That egregious individual, EU Commission President Herman Von Rompuy [left], has been on the wrong end of a tongue-lashing from Nigel Farage [right] before - and unbelievably, some thought that this was 'over the top'.

This man is the 'face' of the European Union: a dictatorial body with dreams of imperialistic grandeur. It is a body designed to subjugate us as a nation.

If you do not 'attack' him - then where do you go to show dissent when you are not of a terrorist mindset?

And although I would normally believe in politeness to the Nth degree - if ever there was an exception to prove the rule - undoubtedly he is it!

Well. The appalling individual has done it now. He has described 'euroscepticism' as 'a lie'. Don't quite grasp the logic of his point - but in effect he seems to be saying "Europhiles are right, you are wrong and liars to boot."

Let's persecute some Christians!

The study from think-tank Civitas argues that new hate crime legislation is restricting freedom of speech, and has effectively introduced a new blasphemy law into Britain by the back door.
A foreword attached to the main report, “A New Inquisition: religious persecution in Britain today”, argues that prosecutors and police are unfairly singling out alleged crimes by white Christians, while ignoring other similar offences by minority groups.
It says: “Some police forces and the CPS [Crown Prosecution Service] seem to be interpreting statutes in favour of ethnic and religious minorities and in a spirit hostile to members of the majority population, defined as ‘White’ or ‘Christian’.”
Report authors said it is “legitimate to ask” whether these agendas are being driven by “sectarian groups” within either police forces or inside the CPS.
It claims “there is evidence of biased application of the law”, citing the case of a Muslim man who sprayed the words “Islam will dominate the world – Osama is on his way” and “Kill Gordon Brown” on a war memorial in Burton-Upon-Trent.
He was prosecuted for criminal damage – “that is neither a racially nor a religiously aggravated offence”.
The CPS had argued that “the defacing the memorial did not attach to any particular racial or religious group” despite the fact that the monument was “a Christian and British memorial, carrying Christian and British symbols.

In the last week, Harridan Harperson, mouthpiece of all that is politically correct, referred to somebody of whom she disapproved as being a 'ginger rodent'.

RENEWABLE UK complains (Yorkshire Post, November 4) that those who oppose on-shore wind farms are selfishly damaging the economy and not helping the employment situation.The contribution to the grid made by wind-sourced energy is extremely small, painfully expensive and at times an actual embarrassment. An effort to reduce unemployment is in itself obviously commendable, but less so if the jobs created are essentially non-productive and contribute little beyond a profit to the manufacturers and landowners involved in the wind industry, while it lasts.Establishing an effective and secure energy policy is going to be essential to the country's economy, and in this overall objective wind-sourced electricity appears to be all but irrelevant. Renewable UK must surely be aware of this, and if it is meeting opposition it has no right to be appealing to a sense of patriotism on the part of those who raise logical objections.My feeling is that if the coalition felt able to withdraw from the renewables target so rashly entered with the EU, it would be able to play a more honest and constructive part in the future of our energy supplies. But I guess it doesn't and therefore it can't.

FACT: Almost half of all England's newly qualified teachers are now leaving the profession within five years.

If I told him to be quiet, he spoke louder; if I ignored him, he laughed. I wished I could send him out, but the head had made it clear that once the pupils were in a classroom, we had to do our best to keep them there.'

Do NOT think that this kind of thing only occurs in 'sink schools'. There are some classes in most comprehensives just like this.
If Christians can afford to send their children to Christian schools - shame on them for not doing so.

Pol Pot and the Greens.

When we look at what Pol Pot did in Cambodia, we see evidence of one of the most evil men to have ever walked the planet. He butchered anybody who didn't approve of attempts to take his country back to somewhere near the Stone Age.

I know that I am being slightly over the top to mention this thought below but the idea just refused to quit.

Not entirely fair, but the last time I read a manifesto by the Green Party - my mind just kept flicking to Pol Pot. So many of their policies seemed to have a smack of this despot.
