Psalm 51.

16] You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart.

So. Do these words, a thousand years before the Christ's ministry, indicate the seeds from which will grow forth The New Covenant OR were almost all the principles already in place, just awaiting the shedding of blood from The Perfect Lamb of God to complete the picture?
