Population Drop? - Not Such Good News.

If you discover that the population of these overcrowded islands drops in the next two years by half a million, you would surely see this as a move in the right direction - at last. NOT SO!

Lloyds TSB International Wealth carried out the survey and it should worry us all. The people to whom it refers are the wealthy, people on hefty pensions and 'the comfortably' off. The 'grey pound' is NOT going to be spent in the UK!

I am sure that I do not have to explain that this goes way beyond the seeking out of pleasanter climes.

People are fed up of high taxes and even higher crime rates so they are voting with their feet.

Who is entirely to blame, of course? - Liberal left politicians who have created this situation.

The situation is not quite as clear cut as it seems, though. These figures are not all the retired - they also contain evidence of a new 'brain drain'. Hey ho!
