Leftist Take On The Unemployed.

I have just read a piece from a well-known leftist claiming that the present government is 'blaming the unemployed for being unemployed'.

Again, I have no wish to support this government but I shall always support any body or group against unfair attack.
The issue is not the unemployed but the longterm unemployed who have settled into that position. It has long been understood that gaining employment from this situation becomes very difficult indeed.
The need is to take any sort of work OR take advantage of government schemes which aid you in setting up your own business serving the public. There are many opportunities. In my area alone, there is six months work year on year which could be gained for cutting privet - and the business could be in full swing after a mere two days of door-knocking. People do not see opportunities whilst watching daytime TV!
