Let us rashly assume that our present crisis
came about entirely because of: sub prime mortgaging in the USA, fat cat greed,
out of control bankers and the like.
Even if all of that be the whole truth - which
it ain't - the way we have ridden the crisis has been lamentable. So
why?We have been hogtied in EU regulation; we have caught the backwash from the folly of the Eurozone; we have been drawn into the massive commitment of funds to bail outs and have been 'regulated into a corner'.
Against this backcloth the LibLabCon europhile parties are perhaps, just perhaps, in the early stages of giving us a fixed referendum on remaining in the EU.
