You find that seven evil criminals are jailed for 40 years. Good gracious!
Then, much lower down - and usually at the end of the news item - you find out that this is a total for them all and needs to be divided
up.
Take off 'good behaviour' in prison and they have
probably got two and a half years each for something truly
repugnant.
