The National Audit Office warned bill payers will be hit by
huge price hikes over the next two decades to renew energy, water and telecoms
infrastructure.Millions of families already face hardship this winter after the
fifth of the Big Six energy suppliers hiked its prices yesterday.
EDF followed British Gas, npower, Scottish Power and SSE, who
all recently put up their prices by as much as 10.4 per cent.EDF will increase
gas and electricity bills by 3.9 per cent from January adding around £52 to the
