Croatians back referendum upholding traditional marriage 

A majority of Croatian voters have voted to uphold marriage as between a man and a woman. The country's constitution will have to be changed accordingly.

Voters were asked in a referendum whether they "agree that marriage is matrimony between a man and a woman" to which 68% responded "Yes".
Catholic Church leaders strongly urged citizens to back the referendum, which was called by the "In the Name of the Family" conservative group. Christian Concern.
