Mark's Gospel.

The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle states that (John) Mark began his Gospel in Egypt in AD 47 - which makes great sense and adds even more historical validity. That history, composed under Alfred, is not 100% reliable, but in this, it seems far more accurate than the later guesses of the theologians a millenium later, who may have well had fewer sources! These 'scholars' late date it at 64/65AD.
(Furthermore, this late-dating is a tad suspicious considering that Mark died in AD 63.)
