He had been ruled safe to live in the community after a sentence of nearly 30 years for stabbing pregnant teenager Melinda Croft to death in 1986.
But just 11 months later the 48-year-old carried out a similar attack on Amaris Hatton.
Miss Croft’s family yesterday said they were “disgusted” he was freed and criticised how a known killer had the chance to strike again.
Her father Peter Croft, from Hastings, said: “We’ve fought all these years to keep him inside and he should never have been given parole.
He has never shown any remorse. I’m so disillusioned with the justice system in this country.”
He added: “I hold the parole board responsible for the attack on this lady. There wasn’t any difference from what he did to my daughter.”
Melinda’s sister Paula said: “I felt devastated for this woman. We were never going to have Melinda back but he should have been locked away without any parole.” Express.
The problem is that in this country - when you do not hang an evil man - there will ALWAYS be lunatics who will try to get him released from gaol.
