I wonder how long a visit to the most famous fish restaurant in the
UK had been on my 'bucket list'? - Certainly, a great many years. Well,
yesterday, my wife and I finally tried it - and oh - what a letdown. This year
alone, I have eaten fish from at least seven better outlets.
Quality, cooking and taste: 6/10 - moderate.
Service: 5/10 - 40 minutes+ to get served.
Overall experience: 5/10 - only that high because of the
views.
Value: 3/10 - A bill exceeding £30 for two plates of moderate fish
and chips with one drink each was underwhelming. The Fisherman's Wife Restaurant in Whitby was streets ahead in every respect.
