Last year HSBC claimed that it might move its headquarters due to uncertainty about whether the UK would stay in the EU. This was an attempt to scare people into backing EU membership. Today HSBC announced it would stay in the UK - showing that even the proponents of Project Fear don't actually believe their own scare stories. Many major businesses are saying that they will continue to invest in the UK when we Vote Leave - people should not believe the BSE campaign’s baseless scare stories. When we Vote Leave we will be able to negotiate a new friendly deal with the EU that will allow financial firms in the UK to continue to trade across Europe and the globe. The UK is a great place to invest and do business and will become even more attractive after we Vote Leave.
