England Take ODI Series By 2 - 1.

After a very similar team had lost the short T20 series against India - and looked pretty awful in the process - the ODI team looked a class above India.
Yesterday, a fine innings from Morgan and an excellent 13th ODI century from Joe Root - as well as being his second in succession - led England home by an extremely comfortable 8 wicket margin with overs to spare.
Joe Root on his home turf.
Morgan had won the toss and decided to bowl. Wood and Willey seemed to have finally grasped what line and length were all about and during the early fielding restrictions, not only took wickets but also prevented any significant scoring from the classy Indian batsmen.
Perhaps the real key to the game was that the penny seemed to have finally dropped as to how batsmen should play the left arm, mystery spinner, Kuldeep. The second game in the series had been good - this was better still.
We now have to wait a fortnight for the commencement of the five match test series - a mouthwatering prospect.
