This week, I bought a dozen large, free range eggs for £1-55.

Free range eggs are a very cheap food.

Why does Mr Packham not spend far more time on campaigns to end battery hen conditions?

Millions of creatures are ritually slaughtered to create halal meat. (Perhaps lessons could be imposed from the excellent equivalent slaughter methods in Jewish abattoirs, BTW.)

Compared to minute numbers of verminous foxes 'killed for sport', the halal carnage of animals is a national disgrace.

Surely, almost 100% of Packham's campaigning should be redirected to things that actually matter.

Do you, like me, suspect that many anti-hunt folks are simply 'anti-toff?'

Do you, like me, suspect that many anti-hunt folks are not prepared to be defined as 'anti-Islam?'

I do hope that nobody bandies around terms such as 'double standards'.
