Parking on pavements could be banned across England in crackdown on nuisance motorists
The disabled, elderly and parents are badly affected by pavement parking that the Government is now considering banning.
Blogger: the road to the rear of my house is narrow and not all houses have off road parking. In order to accommodate this situation - drivers have to park partially on the pavements. If they fail to do so, lorries, vans and ambulances will all lose access. If they park only on the road along both sides - it will prevent movement of car traffic down the road until an immovable jam is created.
Yellow lines down one side? - Where do 50% of all the cars go to?
The road at the front of my house where grass verges are so wide - the road is already too narrow to sustain existing parking.
A recipe for total chaos!
