Propaganda And Poor Historical Interpretations of The Great War - Debunked.

The ten part series, The First World War, often shown on PBS, claims in the first programme that Germany had no war plans in August 1914.

This disinformation wantonly ignores the Schlieffen Plan of Germany's objectives for invading France as far back as 1905 - if not earlier. (Some argue that this dates right back into the 19th Century.)

The TV series then contradicts itself in Episode three by outlining explaining German plans to attack the eastern seaboard of the USA which had predated Schlieffen by at least two years!

The German desire to create an empire was an open secret. They were most emphatically not drawn unwittingly into conflict during WW1!

This revisionism, which disingenuously tends to whitewash the rampant warmongering of Kaiser Wilhelm, is simply unworthy.
