- Darlie Routier, 48, has been on death row in Texas for more than 20 years
- Her sons Damon, five, and Devon, six, were stabbed to death on June 6, 1996
- She was found guilty of Damon's murder but never prosecuted for Devon's.
- No regular reader of this Blog can be in any doubt about my views on capital punishment. If you kill in cold blood - you should pay the ultimate price and, typically, this would include Darlie Routier. I follow actual Scriptural principles rather than taking matters wilfully out of context.
- The problem arises when there is any significant delay in the implementation of sentence. This is the awful flaw in the US setup. Justice delayed is justice denied. A better way of dealing with executions must be found. My suggestion would be to have a streamlined, specially devised, fast track system ensuring that all appeals are rapidly expedited and executions sorted within 18 months of sentence. Any attempts at deliberate delaying tactics should be sufficient grounds for mandatory disbarring of defence lawyers. If Darlie Routier is executed - I shall shed no tears - other than for the children she butchered. The execution of human justice is one thing - the execution of justice by God is quite something else. I am happy to pray that she finds Jesus before departing this world.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
