'For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.'
Blogger: Predestination is a much misunderstood concept without this verse being taken into account.
'Predestination' is wholly dependent on the aforementioned 'foreknowledge'.
Many of the explanations of 'predestination' seem to imply arbitrary actions by God.
This was common in the school of thought known as Jansenism and in some forms of Calvinism.
