... a means of clearing up terrible unsolved crimes and finding missing murder victims in a way which is wholly impossible in the UK.
In this country, on occasions, a convicted murderer - particularly towards the end of life - will confess to old murders and will show locations of the graves of long dead victims. But this is far from common. So many of these evil characters relish the extra suffering and fuss they are able to cause through silence.
In death sentence states, however, note how often deals are negotiated for a whole of life sentence rather than death, in exchange for details of past murders and victims' graves. This clears up old crimes and brings closure to so many grieving families.
Still. In the UK - that is apparently not important to our politicos!
