Another Blow For The'Warmists'?

Donkra - A Daddy Donkey & A Mummy Zebra.

Won't Work. Sorry, IDS. Not This Time!

'Jobless Britons have lost their work ethic, forcing bosses to employ migrants with a more conscientious attitude, a report has concluded.

The study, by the Centre for Social Justice think-tank, set up by Iain Duncan Smith, also called for a fourth ‘R’ – responsibility – to be added to schools’ traditional core subjects of reading, writing and arithmetic.'
'Responsibility' cannot be a 'bolt on' school subject as it is entirely concerned with the whole ethos of a society!

Mel Is Over Optimistic!

'From human rights to the EU, the tide's turning against the liberal thought police.'

Sorry, Melanie. I can't recall the last time I had to take you to task but you are wrong!
Are people fed up? - Naturally.
Are the politicians pretending that they 'now understand'? - Oh, yes indeedee!
Cosmetic tinkering apart - is anything of weight gonna happen? - Emphatically NOT!

Irony?

New Call Telecom has decided to open a call centre in Lancashire after being attracted by low rents and cheap labour.
'So what?' - Do I hear you say?
Well, there's the rub! - It has been brought back from Bombay because it is cheaper in Burnley!

Somali Non-Deportees.

The ECHR will not permit the UK to deport two verminous, Somali criminals as it destroys their human rights.
This acts as a precedent for hundreds more cases.
What about MY human rights of not having to share a country with foreign criminals in addition to the hundreds of thousands of homegrown ones who also receive unqualified support from the egregious ECHR?

What Is The Main Agent For Persecution Of Christians In The UK?

Christian Concern - Promoting The Family.

http://www.christianconcern.com/our-concerns/social/key-families-conference-held

Not Before Time!

'A consultation paper to be launched within days will open up a debate on the future of Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which guarantees "the right to a family life".

Article 8 is increasingly being used by foreign criminals and illegal immigrants to dodge deportation.
A highly-placed source told The Sunday Telegraph that the issue would be raised in a paper on immigration to be issued by Home Secretary Theresa May before Parliament breaks up for the summer.'

                                                  Romans 1.

Another Downside.

Devalued university degrees have another, rather less obvious, downside. They give too many people an exaggerated sense of their abilities and of the meaningfulness of what they have achieved.
Their expectations then become unreasonably high. We are building up a head of unwanted steam as in an out of control pressure cooker.
No good can possibly come from this.

Ed Is On His Bike?

Ed Miliband: 'These Strikes Are Wrong!'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PZtVm8wtyFI

It was Frankie Howerd who said 'we must not mock the afflicted'. How hard to follow his wisdom when you hear this circular circumlocution from Mr Ed. This really has to be the worst political interview I've heard in years. (Is he just not very bright?)
The unions got him made leader and now regret it - and with venom. He already had 'few onboard' of the parliamentary party and the grassroots members.
You've heard of a 'lame duck presidency' - well .....
DO listen to the interview above - please!

Where Are We Better Than 50 Years Ago?

We have more disposable income; more comfortable dwellings; better medical care; more choice; better communication; many better systems and technology has been frankly, magnificent.
So why do I mourn the past so much?
People are more empty today. They are shallow and do not even recognise the fact. People have lost their faith and replaced it with 'idols' whilst having little concept of righteousness.
Throughout it all - I cannot help but think that with a combination of old and new in the right balance, the UK would have been a truly joyful place to live in.
I recently spoke to a group of school leavers and said; "Life is not just about body and mind. If that is what you think - you've missed it! Life is about body, mind and spirit." If only that applied to our whole population!

Godlessness Harms A Nation.

The other day I was in Thurnscoe and spent a few minutes chatting with a most pleasant lady who was surrounded by oodles of small children.
She pointed out a house across the road which was all boarded up and explained that the dwelling was actually occupied and the man inside was - and she lowered her voice in kindly fashion - 'a little bit simple'.
She went on to explain that local yobs had terrorised him; smashed his windows; persecuted him mercilessly. All attempts for him to get help from the authorities had failed.
I could have cried. What have we become? What are the parents of these young toerags doing - or do they encourage them to behave in the way they do?
Thurnscoe Methodist.
Do so many people really have no fear of God? - No sense of compassion? - No sense whatsoever of right and wrong?

Open Europe.

I strongly recommend the Open Europe website to you. It is worth signing up - they will keep you well informed without ever bombarding you with E Mail. Very honest.

Shameful Behaviour.

In May, David Campbell-Bannerman MEP, a figure not really trusted by a great many UKIP members as his third place in November's leadership elections goes some way towards proving - defected to the PRO-EU tories!!!
He apparently expressed his admiration for the same David Cameron, who has announced that he will not grant the people of this country a referendum on Europe because he believes we should stay in!
The word 'turncoat' is perhaps better replaced with 'traitor'! "It is clear that David Campbell Bannerman has decided to put career before principle," a party spokesman stated. (BBC.)        PLEASE NOTE:
The party also said that Mr Campbell-Bannerman had agreed, when he was chosen as a candidate in 2008, to represent UKIP for the full five-year parliamentary term or stand down.
"We call on him to resign so that we can get a real Eurosceptic to take his place," a spokesman added.

I have always found David a most personable chap but 'dripping wet' in both attitudes and the work he did for UKIP. It really is no great surprise to me that he wanted to join the pinko tories. But to steal a UKIP seat, after making a promise to people who were obviously concerned about his loyalties, places him amongst the lowest of the low.

Told Yer So!

'THE number of people killed on the roads is at its lowest level in 85 years despite increasing numbers of speed cameras being switched off.'  Express.

Too Many Graduates Makes a Social Mess.

Consider this recent headline:

Jobs gloom for a third of recent graduates as they languish in posts that do not require degree.

Add to these, the countless jobs over years which  require a degree nowadays which did not before!
Only when this point strikes home shall we get the message that sending 'everybody and his cat' to university is a complete - and now prohibitively expensive - waste of time.
A university degree now opens few doors because they are ten-a-penny with my particular emphases on the largely useless or the assorted marxist subjects.
By allowing hundreds of thousands of additional places - the only result is devaluation of the currency and the inevitable dumbing down.
The only intention behind all of this nonsense has been to conceal youth unemployment and manufacture a phony, leftwing agenda of 'more education for the masses' and claptrap about 'a better educated workforce'.
All are disadvantaged by what has happened.
How can it possibly be reasonable to demand a graduate for a job at 21 today, to do a job well done 25 years ago by a 16 year old with mere 'O' Levels?
Madness.

Have Asylum The The Over Lunatics Taken. Please Rearrange!

£100 billion of extra cash is not a budget increase according to the hectoring Viviane Reding, vice president of the EU Commission.
This will only be costing our taxpayers TEN BILLION POUNDS - and that without the 10% increase on the horizon from 2014 to 2020! And that in a time of deep financial woes. And after our Greek bailouts etc, etc, etc.

WE MUST QUIT THE PROFLIGATE EU - AND SOON!

Now, Unsurprisingly, IDS Is On The Ball.

'A new generation will be condemned to a life on benefits without tougher measures to stem the flow of migrant workers, Iain Duncan Smith is to warn today. The Work and Pensions Secretary will lift the lid on simmering Cabinet tensions over immigration, telling David Cameron that expensive back-to-work schemes will fail without strict controls on incomers.' (Mail.)
After all the posturing by trade union leaders in recent weeks - how many of these have stated the obvious? - Why is it left to a tory to reveal the biggest threat to the members of most unions in the UK?
Ah. It goes against their socialist grain, that's why!

Ronnie Reagan.

On this Blog, I have often tried to point out how the American left and their Guardian-reading cronies on this side of the Pond utilise a standard tactic where Republican Presidents are concerned - they will either be mocked as 'totally stoopid' across the entire leftwing media - or will be presented as having horns.
I regard Reagan as one of the best US presidents of my lifetime. Dominic Sandbrook proves my point.
