India Does Not Want Our Aid So ...

From: Nick Martinek, Briarlyn Road, Huddersfield.
DAVID Cameron’s approach as Prime Minister seems very reminiscent of the 1970s Tory europhile PM, Sir Edward Heath, yet he lacks Sir Edward’s intellect. So for a long time I have considered David Cameron to be ‘Heath-without-brains’. Nothing Mr Cameron has done in the last two years makes me change my mind.
Just one example: Mr Cameron has increased the UK government’s spend on foreign aid when evidence shows it is counter-productive for the recipient nation, fostering corruption; and when India, for one, was telling him that they did not want the £280m a year we have been giving them.
At the same time, he sold our defence Harrier fighter planes to the USA’s Marine Corps (USMC) for a paltry £112m.
If we had cut the aid to India when they asked us to do so, the money saved would have been sufficient to retain the two existing aircraft carriers and their complement of Harriers. The consequence of Mr Cameron’s cupidity is that he has catastrophically reduced our defence capability to please a few middle class Labour voters and aid-junkies, who would never vote for him anyway. Wind Turbines: More From The Yorks Post Debate.

From: David F Chambers, Sladeburn Drive, Northallerton.

I REFER to the article by Ben Stafford (Yorkshire Post, March 17) headlined: “It’s time we generated some light in the great turbine debate.”
Unfortunately, it adds little to the argument, accepting as it does the basic assumption of global catastrophe due to a man-made rise in C02 levels.
His next assumption is that wind turbines can contribute in any way to combating that situation.
Respected studies, deprived of publicity these days, indicate that, historically and prehistorically, periods of high CO2 levels do not cause rises in global temperature, they follow them after an interval of about 800 years.
Periods of global warming are not apparently brought about by the production of greenhouse gases by man (or his cattle) but by far more fundamental phenomena about which neither HM Government or Opposition can do anything.
Naturally, from the political point of view, this philosophy is utterly unacceptable. Hence the size of our fuel bills.
I hope perhaps this does in fact generate a little light on the debate?

Hellfire Preaching.

I have seldom been more depressed than I have been with the trio of programmes called Reverse Missionaries. Preachers from Malawi, India & Jamaica have gone respectively to Glasgow, Belfast and rural Gloucestershire where they have discovered mega amounts of spiritual apathy.
Let us get down to basics. All these people who are 'half christians', atheists, deists, theists and agnostics et al are ALL going to hell. THAT is what the Scriptures tell us.
People who do not know this cannot understand why they have any need for salvation or for The Saviour!
Perhaps the time is right to return to some old fashioned, 'hellfire preachers' taking to the streets.
At the present rates, 90+% of our population is not going anywhere near heaven when they die.
We are trying passive, almost apologetic methods as if we are embarrassed by 'our product'. Ask a salesman how much these techniques would work in their fields!
If people have no concept whatsoever of how desperate their situation truly is - why should they try to resolve something they do not even recognise as a problem.

The Triumphal Entry - Was Accomplished In Humility.

The Assault On Christianity Is Relentless!

'The 1989 production Visions of Ecstasy was considered so shocking that the Government even fought a successful battle at the European Court of Human Rights to uphold the ban.
But the film is now to be released in its original, uncut form after the British Board of Film Classification [SHAME ON THEM!] overturned its original decision. DVDs of the film will go on sale tomorrow, at the start of Holy Week.' Telegraph.

Let Joy Be Unconfined! Pass Around The Bacon Butties!

‘Pork has a bad reputation, mainly because it’s associated with cheap processed sausages, whose contents are largely unknown, or fatty bits of bacon and flavourings. But that reputation should not apply to products from outdoor-reared, well-nourished animals,’ says Kumud Gandhi, a food scientist and founder of The Cooking Academy.  Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2123297/Bacon-good-thats-April-fool.html#ixzz1qloPxvWf

La Santa Muerte.

Please pray against this most evil of cults!
Eight people have been arrested in northern Mexico have over the killing of two 10-year-old boys and a woman in what appears to be ritual sacrifices.
Prosecutors in Sonora, in the north-west of the country have accused the suspects of belonging to the La Santa Muerte (Holy Death) cult.
The victims' blood has been poured round an altar to the idol, which is portrayed as a skeleton holding a scythe and clothed in flowing robes.
The cult, which celebrates death, has been growing rapidly in Mexico in the last 20 years, and now has up to two million followers.
Jose Larrinaga, spokesman for Sonora state prosecutors, said the most recent killing was earlier this month, while the other two were committed in 2009 and 2010.
Their bodies were found at the altar site in the small mining community of Nacozari, 70 miles south of Douglas, Arizona.

BNP Gone Missing.

The absence of that extreme rightwing party, the BNP, in the Bradford West by-election is welcome confirmation of what this Blog has previously stated. The profoundly unpleasant BNP, if not actually dead, is certainly moribund!

Good Thinking In Manchester.

Enjoying a sophisticated evening out at a distinguished soiree.
RADICAL proposals to charge drunks for treatment in accident and emergency departments are being considered by city leaders. Alcohol-related hospital admissions in Greater Manchester are estimated to cost the NHS, and the taxpayer, £400million a year. Manchester City Council is considering passing the financial burden on to those who drink excessively. (Express.)

'A Vote For UKIP Could Let Labour In.'

The mantra of this title MUST be ignored. The tories have shown their true, pink colours and unlike Maggie's administrations, it has singularly failed to prevent the forward march of the liberal left. But how could it have done otherwise when it is largely liberal left itself?
Do we HONESTLY believe that Labour could actually be any worse?
VOTE UKIP!

With Haeckel Long Debunked But ...

What used to be called the "recapitulation theory" has long been eliminated from scientific literature, but it is still being presented as a scientific reality by some evolutionist publications. The term "recapitulation" is a condensation of the dictum "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny," put forward by the evolutionary biologist Ernst Haeckel at the end of the nineteenth century. This theory of Haeckel's postulates that living embryos re-experience the evolutionary process that their pseudo-ancestors underwent. He theorized that during its development in its mother's womb, the human embryo first displayed the characteristics of a fish, and then those of a reptile, and finally those of a human. It has since been proven that this theory is completely bogus. It is now known that the "gills" that supposedly appear in the early stages of the human embryo are in fact the initial phases of the middle-ear canal, parathyroid, and thymus. That part of the embryo that was likened to the "egg yolk pouch" turns out to be a pouch that produces blood for the infant. The part that was identified as a "tail" by Haeckel and his followers is in fact the backbone, which resembles a tail only because it takes shape before the legs do.These are universally acknowledged facts in the scientific world, and are accepted even by evolutionists themselves. Two leading neo-Darwinists, George Gaylord Simpson and W. Beck have admitted this.
This has long been known - possibly since around 1868 when he first perpetuated his frauds. ('Unintentional' according to evolutionists, of course - but funny how they keep these things going for decades (a century+?) KNOWING them to be wrong.
I wonder how much more they are not admitting to?

The election of George Galloway? After a terrible week for all parties, this collapse in trust between voters and MPs should terrify us all.
George Galloway is the sort of politician who gives mavericks, exhibitionists and charlatans a bad name. In his years as a Labour and later independent MP, he was seldom out of trouble about women, money and the means by which he got his hands on it, or his support for off-the-wall causes and personalities, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein foremost among them.
