At first sight, alcohol-pricing and draconian gun control appear to have but little in common. Nonetheless, after listening to so many 'experts' on TV and radio in the last 24 hours, it is clear that those demanding even further gun controls as their knee-jerk reaction to the Whitehaven tragedy - have lost the plot.The two ideas are linked by the appalling premise that 'the law-abiding majority must be punished in order to deal with a miscreant minority.'
