Elephant in the room?

Our nation has dreadful economic problems and we see all sorts of fairly legitimate efforts to resolve them.

But there really is 'an elephant in the room' scenario when all mainstream politicians refuse to even discuss the very significant role played in all of this by our membership of the perfidious E.U.
