The Libertarian Alliance.

One reason why I could never join The Libertarian Alliance. Much as I half admire their stand - there are just too many areas where I find their views unpalatable - irrespective of the excellence of their initials. Note one such:
'I don’t like the phrase “drug legalisation.” Bearing in mind that recreational drugs were freely on sale in this country until 1920, and many until quite recently, I prefer the phrase “drug relelgalisation.”
The State has no right to tell us what to do with our bodies. This is not to say that I advocate the use of recreational drugs, or deny that they can be dangerous. I just say that it is our own business whether or not to take drugs.'
No. Sorry. Not prepared to go along with this. A step too far - again. The trouble with libertarian thinking is that 'the template' is manufactured to cover all situations under a single principle even if that is evidently folly.
