60 New York churches to be evicted after Court decision
At least 60 churches in New York will be evicted at short notice from their places of worship by 12 February 2012, after the U.S. Supreme Court decided not to hear their federal lawsuit. The case was brought with the help of the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) in order to reverse the decision of the New York City Department of Education to ban public (THIS MEANS STATE-FUNDED) schools from allowing churches to use their premises for worship.
