Dear Scotland.

I have always been an admirer of the Scottish people and as such, I would strongly advise you not to opt to leave the UK. You would be forced to throw yourselves onto the mercy of Brussels in order to survive.
You would move from a situation wherein you are the perfect political example of 'the tail wagging the dog' to just one more EU-bossed nation - and do not think that the word 'nation' would remain applicable for too long within that imperialistic tyranny.
Your departure would result in net gains for England, N. Ireland and Wales and so I really ought to be waving you a happy farewell.
The West Lothian question would be sorted; Labour governments would become an endangered species; the absurdities of The Barnett Formula which has poured disproportionate billions of pounds into your economy would simply disappear. (You are not as strong economically as some axe-grinding politicians would have you believe.)
For us - it would be a 'total win situation' - but as I support the UK, may I strongly suggest for you own benefit that voters reject any separation.

From,

A dear friend.

Sorry Folks.

This Blogger has not got sufficient patience to report on England Cricket!
