Oxbridge - You'd Have To Be Insane To Mess With Standards.

Oxbridge universities have been continuously pressured by so-called liberal governments to cut standards to achieve 'a better social mix'.
What kind of insanity is this? Why would anyone want to see standards lowered - for any reason?
