Over the Christmas and New Year period the wet weather has meant that I have watched more TV than usual and I have been astonished by the preponderance of blasphemy.
Nine o clock watersheds, warnings that content 'may offend' or that it may be considered 'adult' are just not excuses for using the name of God or Jesus or The Christ as either a swear-word or mere interjection.
It is clearly a fully deliberate attempt to further undermine the Lord and His work by both breaking a commandment and trivialising Him.
The time is long overdue for Christians to fight back. Write in and complain EVERY single time this happens; get your churches to push members into doing the same; seek out people capable of a starting a national campaign.
They do it to us for two principal reasons:
1) We let them.
2) The broadcasters are not frightened of offending Christians in the way that they are terrified of offending muslims.
