Contamination.
I have unwittingly eaten horsemeat in both France & Portugal. It is meat. It is not as nice as beef - but it still comes from a dead animal.
So - why is eating horsemeat so terrible? In terms of pure logic, the argument is silly.
Why is the word 'contaminated' in such heavy use in the press? - IT IS NOT TOXIC!
As a consumer, my preference is NOT to eat horse and so it is a labelling issue - nothing more, nothing less.
