Survation Poll - Great News For UKIP.

An opinion poll by Survation for the Daily Mirror on Thursday put UKIP on 22% of the vote, barely 1% behind the Conservative Party!  The figures were as follows: Labour 36.0%, Conservatives 22.8%, UKIP 21.6%, Lib Dem 9.6%, Green 4.3%, SNP 3.0%, BNP 1.1%, Plaid Cymru 0.4%, Respect 0.2%, TUSC 0.1%.
There have been a number of reports recently of UKIP losing support in opinion polls.  It seems that the reports of UKIP’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.  UKIP’s support surges when there are elections, so if we do temporarily lose a percentage point or two over the summer then we should not worry. We should look forward to real success at local and European elections in 2014.
