Misplaced Sanctity.

When Christians lack wisdom, the knock-on effects to our world can be substantial. Amongst many lovely believers today, there is often a misplaced desire to 'help' all who desire to come to our shores. It was that averred Christian John Enoch Powell who stated that "If you try to help everyone - ultimately, you help nobody." In this instance, nothing could be more true. The UK should target its help carefully. There are genuine, Christian refugees out there in abundance - these should always be our primary target. (Even then, helping people without inviting them to live here is always possible.)Moslem nations should be encouraged to lend assistance to their own.
The UN has long made it clear that refugees MUST go to the first safe nation and stop there. Any refugee who does not heed this but heads straight for Calais instead, should be treated as no more than any other economic migrant. All economic migrants from outside the EU who try to force their way into the UK, as a criminal act, must be prevented - and if they manage to get here - MUST be deported when detected- every last one!
Only by voting OUT in the referendum can we protect our borders from the masses of EU wannabees. We are a tiny, grossly overcrowded nation which is straining from having taken in around 8 million migrants in the last decade or so - and of course, we have no idea how many illegals there are over here, in addition.
Only 4% of would-be UK migrants are refugees. Let us be discerning and endeavour to do all in our limited powers to reject most of the 96%. Then, and only then, can we help the genuine. If we do not vote OUT, our borders will not begin at Calais but will continue to be located in the farthest reaches of the EU.
If a ne'er-do-well were to arrive on your doorstep begging - what would you do? Surely you would not deal with them in the same way as someone who was truly in need - would you? If they claim hunger - give them food from your fridge - but NEVER cash! As Christians, we desire to help the needy - but if we waste money on scallies, then what is there left for the genuine? Believers must not be soft targets - we must become spiritually discerning. Scatter gun approaches are utterly useless.
