If preach the word of God and tell people God's view on marriage - I am apparently guilty of 'a hate crime'. Why so? - If I alert people in a burning building to the extreme danger of their situation - seemingly, this is okay.
If I warn people of the eternal damnation to come because of their anti-God lifestyle - it would appear to me that I have acted out of ANYTHING but hatred. It is not easy to witness to those who are comfortable in their own self-righteousness. Christians tell people hard truths out of love.
