I am totally fed up of all these programmes, on assorted History-style channels, which expand an hour's worth of material into six or more programmes.
The majority do this.
Repetitions, ridiculous summaries after commercial breaks only minutes before - as if you would have presumably forgotten everything and treating viewers to clearly artificial, real-time constructions.
We are NOT fools!
So very many programmes/series on topics which really interest me are being rendered unwatchable!
Yesterday, I watched the Beeb's programme on Alfred The Great with Michael Wood.
A rare accolade from me to the BBC for excellent programme-making.
