World Cup.

Congratulations to Mr Southgate - you have a young team going in the right direction but there was a considerable amount wrong last night and Croatia were worthy winners of this semi-final on the much weaker side of the draw.
The Croats were dour, strong, fairly skilful, determined, organised and wanted it far more than England did - although England may well argue that the ref was rather too tolerant of their bully-boy tactics. That must not be used as an excuse.
England eschewed possession and considered that gift-wrapping it for the opposition was a positive.
Young began exceptionally well and then faded. Lingard was wasteful. Stones was badly out-thought for the Croatian second goal. Sterling never quite seems to produce shots or good final balls. Ali was never better than moderate and little came the way of Harry Kane.
England lost their way and seemed to wait for the Croats to tire - which they didn't care to do.
Frankly, I had long recognised that the first time this England squad came up against a decent team - they would surrender.
They did.
Surely, the crown now awaits the French.
